Esperienza fantastica: Did the self-guided tour to Pisa, renting an e-bike and a trekking bike. The bikes were excellent and the app directed us on mostly off-road paths and was an interesting journey (although we stuffed up the navigation a bit so I'm not sure what was app and what was us.) An excellent ride and perfect place to rent from! Tip: If you do the Pisa ride and train back to Lucca; Platform "2 Ovest" is different from Platform 2. Several tourists ended up waiting at the wrong platform.

Esperienza positiva: We had this E bike tour out of Lucca in Italy with, ironically , a gentleman named Lucca. He was a classic looking Italian with lots of energy and a ton of great local information, including stories about the town and its history. It was interesting to find out that Napoleon’s sister resided there, and contributed quite a bit to this walled city. The city has the motto of “freedom” and warred off significant invaders because of its fortified walls. The tour brought us through some winding roads, including some city driving and some country driving leading into a quaint winery. There we were exposed to a family run business where they produce 5000 bottles of wine and some olive oil. We had a brief tour and a video which turned out to be a great experience. There we also were able to try some of the wines and had a light lunch. The E bikes were in excellent shape, and the trip was enjoyable. The whole tour was about three hours, but it felt like an hour. We were able to ride our E bikes on the actual top of the wall as Luca described the history of the city . I recommend Lucca and this organization as they treated us well and helped us appreciate another side of Italy. A few recommendations would be to arrive early and figure out the parking situation as we were only able to figure out two hours of meter parking but the tour essentially took us over three hours. We got lucky and didn’t get a ticket. Secondly, if you come around the month of March or probably April, make sure that you bundle up. Unrelated, but a general recommendation about Italy their blood alcohol level is .05 which is less than the United States, (.08 in MA), and perhaps other countries. They are very strict with drinking and driving. Penalties can be up to €1000 and I’m not sure if it can affect your U.S. license??? For example, I am 180 pounds and drank one glass of wine in Pisa, (among other cities on other days)….which immediately put me at .04 BAC, just shy of the illegal driving level!!! Beware Be safe Definitely book this EBike excursion, though !

Esperienza negativa: Avoid! We had a tour booked. Out of our control due to a last minute strike all trains to lucca and Pisa cancelled while we were on the train. No buses till afternoon. Contacted them immediately and refused any refund or help to us even though it was entirely out of our control. I even gave the train number we were on as proof. Horrible company do not book them!!!!

Esperienza fantastica: We did a self guided bike tour, we received a bike, lock, and map with a description of each stop. Everyone working there was very nice, would recommend! it was great because we were on our own timeline and could stop for lunch and do our own thing and return the bikes at the end of the day before they close.

Esperienza fantastica: Well equipped and well maintained trail bikes 25pp plus we opted to pay extra 4euro for self guided tour (Kamoot ap) Lucca - Pisa . We were warned to mute directions but in hindsight (if there’s 2 of you) only one should use the ap to Pisa then the other use the ap for the return. Both our phones came close to dying as we rolled into Pisa - so we needed to spend a little time staring at the tower (and people watch - in itself rather entertaining!) whilst our phones recharged enough to return! (Note there’s a power point just outside the tourist office doors!) Just need to bring your charger (which luckily we did!!) The route there (-35 km) was different to the return (-25km): both enjoyable scenery - we preferred the return a little more (marginally!) although it was more on backroads rather than bike ways. Some may feel less comfortable with being so close to traffic. All in all a lovely day out, beautiful scenery and sense of achievement rolling into Pisa then back to Lucca! All for 29 euro pp!!

Esperienza fantastica: We booked an ebike tour of Lucca with Tourist Center Lucca Bike on our cruise stop in Livorno. Due to circumstances beyond our control - thank you Italian Rail system for canceling 2 trains to Lucca - we arrived too late to join the bike tour. The owner of the company went out of his way to drive us to Fratelli Urbani winery to meet up with the tour for lunch and wine tasting. The lunch was pleasant and the wine very good. The tour guide Luca was very engaging and enjoyable to dine with. The guide for the winery, Julia was very knowledgeable and engaging as well. After lunch, we were picked up and delivered directly to the train station to allow us to return to our ship. Again, our host went out of his way to assist us! I did not get his name but will highly recommend this business. If you are looking to tour Lucca, call Tourist Center Lucca!

Esperienza fantastica: My wife and I rented a 300cc Vespa. What great customer service! No upselling at all and no long winded contracts to deal with. The gentleman was awesome to deal with and fun! He even jumped in our selfie when picking up the Vespa! We enjoyed a ride into the mountains near Barga and then a ride over to Montecarlo. We returned the Vespa at the end of the day with 40 kilometers over the allotted limit. No extra charge. When we tipped the gentleman he asked us if he could give it to a younger employee. So unselfish! Thank you for making our rental special and for reminding us what customer service should be!

Esperienza fantastica: Fabulous (and eventful) bike ride from Lucca to Pisa. Set off in fair weather, encountered a thunderstorm half way (but we were armed with our glamorous plastic ponchos!), and arrived in Pisa in glorious sunshine. Cake and coffee in the cafe San Giuliano Terme were very welcome about 4 miles before Pisa and gave us a chance to dry out. Bikes performed well and the staff were very helpful - walked us over to the train station in Lucca to help us buy train tickets for the journey back. Highly recommended.

Esperienza fantastica: I rented a scooter to explore Lucca and the surrounding area. Payment by credit card in advance was safe and convenient. The scooter was good, with full accessories for customers such as box, helmets and chains. I am very satisfied with service!

Esperienza fantastica: We rented 4 bikes for 3 hours. We returned the bikes 15 minutes to late, this was no problem. I recommend this bike rental to everyone who visits Lucca.

Esperienza fantastica: We had a wonderful experience dealing with them when we were visiting. They were quick to respond via email. My family enjoyed cycling around Lucca so much that we decided to do the ebike tour to Pisa a few days later. We were prepared for the cell phone batteries to drain due to the app. The directions were so good that it made the trip to and from Pisa almost as much fun as the destination. Most of all, the ebikes made the trip so easy and were very reliable. I would recommend this way of seeing the region.

Esperienza fantastica: Quick and easy service, reasonable price, helpful, convenient location. I was able to get a bike via walkup right when they opened. Tried but wasn't able to reserve the night before. Initially got a City bike then switched to a trekking bike. 25 euros for the day and totally worth it. Went to Pisa and the coast! The city bike is a single speed with a basket The trekking bike is multi speed and comes with a rubber elastic phone holder and a pannier for your bag, the lock and a spare swap kit. Great fun to ride, worked well! If you rent for an hour or 3 and want to go longer you just pay the difference when you return

Esperienza fantastica: It was so fun biking with our family in Lucca! The Tourist Center Lucca Bike Rental made the renting of our bikes so easy and convenient. They asked all the right questions to make sure our family had appropriate bikes and we even were able to rent a trailer for our youngest to relax in! They communicated with us very easily and also got back to us on any questions very quickly. Our Son said that biking on the walls in Lucca was his favourite experience in Italy!

Esperienza fantastica: Friendly informative service and great price. We hired bikes for a ride to Pisa (which I would highly recommend, but would suggest ebikes for people not used to riding a long way). Gianluca fitted us in with a last minute booking late on the day before.

Esperienza fantastica: We decided to do a day trip to Lucca from the place we were staying near Pisa and felt we would be able to see more of the city in the time we had by hiring bikes to get around a little quicker. The staff were very helpful and explained the controls on the bikes (we opted for electric bikes) and then gave us a map with certain landmarks highlighted. The bikes were a lot of fun and meant we were able to see all of places we wanted to see as well as being able to park up (heavy duty locks are supplied with the bike hire) and go into various places as well (like the Bell Tower, Churches, Restaurants etc.). The bikes were simple to use (particularly for someone who is not a massive fan of cycling). Highly recommend.

Esperienza negativa: This place comes up on google as "tourist information centre Lucca" but don't be fooled... it's a bike rental shop... so the name is (intentionally) misleading.

Esperienza fantastica: Went on the e-bike tour of Lucca’s wall and a hillside winery. Our guide, Luca (yes, almost same name as the city!) was superb, friendly, attentive and fun. He shared great facts about the area and the winery, Fratelli Urbani (which was fantastic with a light lunch, tasting and tour…well done, nice hosts). Anyway, we could not have had a better guide than Lucca. The bikes supplied were also very good. All around magnificent tour.

Esperienza fantastica: They set me up with an E-bike and some routes on the Komoot app. I had a really nice trip from Lucca to Pisa and back (two different routes.) The trip lasted for six leisurely hours and it was excellent.

Esperienza fantastica: Nous avons loué des vélos de ville pour 1h à 4€ par vélo. Location très rapide et facile. Vélos de bonne qualité. Il faut un peu se dépêcher pour faire le tour de la ville et passer par tous les points d’interêt en 1h, mieux vaut compter 2 heures.

Statt zu drohen sollten Sie lieber am Service arbeiten...Vielen Dank für Ihre Mitteilung, aber als Dienstleister muss man auch Kritik verkraften und eine Entschuldigung wäre besser als mit rechtlichen schritten zu drohen.

Esperienza positiva: Rented both a tandem bike for Lucca and a scooter for the greater area. Service was prompt. English was tricky for some of the staff, they didn’t mention I had a 150km limit on the scooter. Took the thing to Cinque Terra and back, highlight of the trip! But ended up paying an arm and a leg for it because I went well over the km limit. Well worth it, would do it again.

Esperienza fantastica: We rented three Bosch equipped e-bikes to ride to Pisa - staff was great, set us up with brain-buckets and a sweet free app that had turn-by-turn bicycle directions. Bikes had plenty of juice, even for people who didn't pedal too much to get us there and back. Ya did need to pedal though it wasn't all-electric! The app for directions took us back a slightly different route which was a nice change.

Esperienza negativa: Although they had plenty of available bikes to rent they wouldn’t rent to us without a reservation. We tried to make one online and never heard back from them.

Esperienza positiva: We had a very positive experience renting bikes from Tourist Center Lucca. The price for the day was very reasonable. We took two e-bikes through the country side over to Pisa. The directions provided by the app were very easy to follow, if we ever took a wrong turn the app was very quick to correct us. We took the train back so as to give ourselves time to bike around Lucca as well, and I would say wrestling the bikes onto a crowded train was probably the most difficult part of our day (so overall, a very relaxing day).

Esperienza fantastica: We hired two e-bikes and took the self-guided route to Montecarlo. The staff were very nice and the hire process really smooth, the bikes (we went for the trekking bikes) brilliant. It got up to 36 degrees today and without the help of the motor, I'm pretty sure we would have given up at Villa Reale. Instead we had a great day out, the Komoot app worked really well (although watch your phone battery life - airplane mode helped keep mine going). The route was very interesting and most of the roads really quiet. Montecarlo is a beautiful village with great cafes.

Esperienza fantastica: Sehr unkompliziert. Ohne Vorbestellung am Samstag vier Citybikes geholt für drei Stunden. Für uns hat es vollkommen ausgereicht, sogar mit Kaffe und Eispause. In der Nähe gibt es ein Parkplatz, 1€ pro Stunde.

Esperienza negativa: Rented 2 e-bikes. They were not in good condition, my husbands breaks barely worked. Staff helpful but be aware-our phone died on the way to Pisa using Komoot app, which made returning to Lucca very challenging, help on how to get to the train station to return would have been nice.

Esperienza fantastica: We did the 2.5 hour bike tour with Nadia that we enjoyed. It is a great way to orientate yourself with Lucca and she’s very informative and clearly loves her town. The following day we rented electric bikes to do the self-guided ride to Pisa and back. They came in early to let us take the bikes ( we didn’t have proper storage at our accommodation to keep them) so that we could start early to beat the heat. Really grateful that they helped us - the map and an app that they give you with navigation was invaluable. Highly recommend both the company and their tours.

Esperienza fantastica: Great bike rental shop just outside Lucca train station. Friendly staff. Good quality bikes(4 city bikes, 1 week rental=€220= bargain). One of our bikes had a puncture so as we were staying outside of the main town, I called at the shop to ask for a new inner tube and tools to do the job myself which was no problem for them. We rode our bikes morning,noon and night for a week with no other issues then simply dropped them off, quickly, when leaving by train at the end of our holiday. I would use them again and would recommend them to all. Thanks, Rob.

Consiglio di pagare 5 euro in più per seguire il percorso su app e avere chiusura per le bici e kit di gonfiaggio da utilizzare in caso di foratura. Hanno una vasta scelta di bici o moto. E sono proprio davanti alla stazione dei treni.

Esperienza fantastica: We rented a scooter and went up into the hills outside of Lucca. Olives, grapes, old estates… there’s not a better place or way to get a feel for the area than on a scooter from these folks. VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY!

Esperienza fantastica: Hat alles wunderbar geklappt, online am Vortag reserviert, in kurzer Zeit bestätigt. Fahrräder sehr gut mit Korb und auch mit Karte und Vorschlägen für Routen, was sehr hilfreich ist. Liegt sehr zentral am Bahnhof und neben einem Parkplatz, der nur1€pro Stunde kostet. Die Besitzer sprechen Englisch, ist auch sehr angenehm.
