Esperienza fantastica: I rented a gravel bike from them, they were incredibly helpful setting it and adjusting the fit to my needs. All of the service was friendly and helpful and timely, and the bike was great - a hardly gravel bike that was perfect for exploring the regions roads and trails. I’d go back to them for another hire in a heartbeat, and I’d love to try one of their tours.

Wir haben eine einwöchige Rundreise mit e-Bikes und Gepäcktransport gebucht. Das Tourbuch mit der Wegstrecke war mit vielen Tipps zu Besichtigungen und Restaurants versehen. Die Organisation lief problemlos.

L'équipe est aux petits soins pour nous (briefing d'accueil, disponibilité pour répondre aux questions avant le départ, disponibilité pendant le séjour,..). Esperienza fantastica: Biked Puglia sept 2024. Salento was awesome- took good care of us. All the accommodations were clean and comfortable. And don’t forget to book the pasta making with DonnAnna. I recommend the guided tour as you will get a lot of information along the route and also, getting in and out of the towns can be tricky.

Esperienza fantastica: We had an absolutely fabulous time cycling in Puglia thanks to Salento Bici. Our accommodation was spectacular, the GPS tracks were spot on, the food and scenery were amazing. All of the little extras that were included just added to the adventure. I can’t say enough good things about this tour company and the beautiful region of Puglia. My only suggestion is to travel before the time changes in November to have more daylight late in the day to enjoy everything. Late October is just fine.

Nous tenions à vous dire que nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'organisation de Salento Bici Tour, la location de vélos en très bon état et confortables avec sacoche, trousse à outils, trousse à pharmacie, les informations données par le guide très dévoué la veille du départ à Matera, joignable à tout moment, le GPS très clair et bien sûr les régions et villes traversées, toutes magnifiques. Les hébergements étaient très bien, particulièrement B&B Sinetempore à Manduria. Donc, nous gardons un excellent souvenir de votre agence et de notre périple dans le sud de l'Italie, région à découvrir absolument! Et si nous poursuivons dans le Salento plus au sud une autre fois, nous nous adresserons à vous, c'est sûr. Un grand merci à vous.

Esperienza fantastica: Outstanding vacation experience! My spouse and I rode the Self-Guide Salento Classic tour (no upgrades) in early October. The operator is very well organized and the staff are excellent ... you can tell they have a passion for their offering. The bikes were next-to-new and very well maintained as we had zero mechanical issues during our trip. The B&Bs included in the itinerary were clean, conveniently located, had excellent breakfasts highlighting local cuisine and produce along with very accommodating hosts. Shoulder season was the perfect time with pleasant daytime temperatures for cycling and swimming in the Mediterranean along with quiet roads. Of course, the highlight is the Salento region with its friendly people, beautiful geography, and history.

It was an amazing trip from start to finish and we could not recommend Bici Tours highly enough. The trip was impeccably organised with loads of information from a lovely group of people. The itinerary was fantastic and we saw and visited some amazing places on our cycle. The hotels on the route were all beautiful. Esperienza fantastica: For a quality cycle tour, with the very best organisation, bikes and accomodation (if you do a multi-day trip), look no further than Salento Bici tours. We had the best holiday of this type in September 2022, and we have been doing these types of tour for over 20 years. No hesitation in recommending at all - we hope to go back in future. Update: May 2024 - we did return, and had another great time cycling down from Matera to Lecce. Still great attention to detail, and some lovely accomodation choices

Only issue was with some the route segments in the app. Some were inaccurate through the small towns, eg taking you the wrong way on one way streets. The Galatone - Lecce segment was backwards in the app, so challenging to follow. Good news is they accepted all my feedback and it looks like they updated the route.

Esperienza fantastica: We took a self-guided tour with Salento Bici Tour this June 2024 and we had an amazing experience! The team is lovely, extremely reactive and supportive; warm welcome and assistance throughout the whole trip. They have great collaborations with lovely B&Bs and hotels in the region and the additional recommendations and information given, made our trip perfect. The bikes are very good quality and in great shape and overall it was great value for money, in addition to the kind personalities of people. Fully recommend! we'e already considering a second tour with them in another area.

Esperienza fantastica: AU TOP ! Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour dans les Pouilles et Basilicate (de Matera à Lecce) organisé par l’agence SALENTO BICI TOUR. C’est une Super agence, accessible et à l’écoute. Mille Mercis à Carlo et Giulia pour ce service personnalisé qui nous a permis de découvrir une région magnifique. Avant le voyage : L’organisation, les informations et conseils étaient parfaits. Sur le parcours : l’accueil sur place avec la prise en main des vélos, l’acheminement des bagages, le magnifique circuit, l’accueil et la qualité des hôtels choisis (un mixte de 3 et 4 étoiles), les conseils pour les lieux à visiter, ou pour se restaurer étaient également parfaits. Sans oublier les 2 dégustations prévues (fromages et vins locaux) qui ont été de très bons moments de partage. Les vélos (E-Bike) étaient de super qualité et très bien équipés, zéro panne même après les 365 kms parcourus à travers route et sentiers. Et l’équipe était facilement joignable en cas de besoin. Je recommande vivement SALENTO BICI TOUR. Nous ferons de nouveau appel à vous, pour visiter le Salento du Sud. Encore Merci :-)

Esperienza fantastica: We did the 7 day family tour from Lecce to Gallipoli, with our 9 and 6 year old. 180km of flat country lanes, with very little cars. In April, the weather was perfect. The care and attention of the Bici team was outstanding. The hotels were small authentic B&Bs giving us a connection to the heart of Salento. The kids loved the pool in Galatone, this mama was taken back with the seaview at breakfast in Gallipoli, but let's not forget Mauro's homecooking in Lecce. All excellent. Highly recommended to make lasting memories as a family in a special part of the world

Esperienza fantastica: We did a self-guided tour which was very well organized. All hotels and baggage transfers were pre-arranged and went smoothly. The RideWithGPS maps were easy to navigate, even for someone who is not familiar with that App. The area that we toured was lovely and the people ar Salento Bici Tour provided a booklet, cuctomized for our tour, to make sure that we got the most out of our experience. A big thanks to all the staff, from the office to the bike mechanics shop, for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Esperienza fantastica: My husband and I and two friends did the self-guided Salento Classic in October 2023. I cannot recommend the tour and the tour company highly enough. Well-organized, excellent equipment (I LOVED my bike which came with panniers, lights, spare tires and tools and the seat was SOOOO comfortable which is always important on a multi day ride :-)) and having the Ride with GPS assistance meant we had we didn't have to stop to check the route as a little voice told us where to turn (the company even provided a cellphone holder and battery bank). A lot of thought had obviously gone into choosing the route as it was mainly on small paths, back roads or main roads with little traffic (apart from entering and leaving towns of course) and it took in numerous historic places and scenic views. It was mainly flat apart from the Otranto to Santa Maria di Leuca section but even that wasn't very difficult (and we weren't on e-bikes). We upgraded our accommodation and we were very happy with, location, our rooms and (oh my goodness!) the amazing breakfasts. We really enjoyed staying in the same hotel for a couple of nights - in Otranto and Gallipoli - it was really nice not having to pack each day and we enjoyed seeing the two inland sections (most of the tour was along the coast which was spectacular). The staff at Salento Bici are fantastic! I emailed with Carlo quite a bit beforehand, asking for information and making the booking, and he was always helpful and responded quickly. We also enjoyed meeting other staff members at the orientation. They provided wine and traditional Salento snacks, told us about the route and included some very interesting snippets of history about the area. It's such an interesting part of Italy and we saw very few international tourists so it felt like were were a bit off the beaten path (it's a popular holiday destination for Italians though so I would recommend going out of season). Needless to say we ate a lot of fantastic food (there was always a choice of restaurants within walking distance of where we stayed) and we enjoyed trying the local wines (which were very good and amazingly inexpensive). And oh, the coffee....and oh the gelato....delizioso! Thanks so much to all at Salento Bici for an excellent week in Puglia!!

Esperienza fantastica: This was a great outing. We did a loop around the outskirts of Otranto and visited very interesting, off the beaten path sites. The bike was in excellent condition and our guide, Ganzalo Pacheco, "Ganzo" was fantastic. Ganzo was very informative about the places we visited, patient, always willing to help with issues, and adjusted the pace, etc to suite everyone in the group. We had some older folks in the group, so we rode at a leisurely pace. I would recommend Salento Bici Tour to anyone that's looking for some physical activity coupled with seeing little places in Salento.

Esperienza fantastica: Brilliant 7-day, 300km self-guided food and wine cycling tour of Salento. Bike (one push, one electric) hire, baggage transfer, hotels, restaurants and tastings all worked seamlessly. Great staff and a great organisation.

Esperienza fantastica: My husband and I booked a 6 days self guided tour covering both coasts of Puglia, the countryside and of course the beautiful little and bigger villages. The most beautiful day was the one covering the 60 Km from otranto to Santa Maria do Leuca, each day we rode 60 Km except the second day of 30 Km ( could be planned a bit longer..) Thanks to the E-bikes you can do it being in a normal physical condition, but we didn’t use up more than half of the battery at most each day. They provide you with a charger, a large bag for the bike, a battery for your cell phone (recomendable having a local SIM card or a good plan so that you can use the downloaded App with live feed of your route every day) the App what guides you is easy to use, the booklet they give you too, tells you background stories of what you should look out for and the point of interest on your route. The luggage arrived always on time to our hotels on the different locations. The hotel in Gallipoli Bastioni di San Domenico had the best breakfast of all, in all hotels we were treated with friendliness and attention. The organized tastings during our trip were chosen to present us the authentic cuisine of the region, unpretentious and organic. We liked all restaurants and the attention we got but would suggest to change the one in Lecce, after the briefing, All’ombra del Barocco, we had to wait a very long time for the food what was bland and nothing special. One suggestion for salento Bici tours to check the e-bikes better or replace their inventory in the next future. I was lucky with my bike, no problems at all, my husband had a few glitches with functionality the first 3 days and talking to others taking the same trip and meeting them on the route, some had some problems with the bikes. I was impressed with the consideration and respect by car traffic we experienced on our tour, that high season had come to an end helped, of course.Overall, we enjoyed it very much, I wish we had booked a 7 days tour! I definitely recommend it!

Esperienza fantastica: A fabulous week with Salento Bici Tour. We chose the Food & Wine option which we’d highly recommend. The bikes were very good and having an E-bike option for occasional cyclists worked well. The service and support was first class. We loved the routing, mixing coast, with dips along the way, and towns to stop off for the excellent coffee and lunch. As expected, food and wine in Salento were a real highlight. We’d certainly consider another trip with Bici Tour.

Esperienza fantastica: We did the classic Salento bici tour, 6 days on the bike. The route was almost always on the coast, and the view to the ocean was breathtaking. Everything was well organized. The hotels were charming and with good value for money, the crew was always available. The towns in Puglia were historical, and really pretty! We had an amazing time! It was a bit too hot, so if you can, go in May or early June.

Esperienza fantastica: We highly recommend Salento BIci Tours. We did both the Selento Food and Wine Self-guided and the Matera Food and Wine Self-guided. We chose them because they are a local company specializing in the Puglia region of Italy that came recommended by people who had done the tours with them. We were delighted with every aspect of their service - good communication as we planned the trip including options to add extra nights and arrange transportation from Lecce to Matera, good pre-trip briefing and RideWithGPS routes that worked flawlessly, good quality comfortable e-bikes, wonderful accommodations with hosts that shared local information, superb included dinners and tasting stops, excellent communication during the tour if needed, and flawless luggage transfers. We found all the Salento staff to be friendly and enthusiastic, taking great pride in their company and their region of Italy. Both routes were interesting - Salento having more seaside towns and the wonderful cooking class, and Matera having more varied scenery and interesting towns like Matera, Alberobello and Locorotondo. We felt very safe riding on all the routes and found Italian drivers to be considerate of cyclists.

Esperienza fantastica: We toured Salento in 7 days and it was a very, very nice experience. The routes we chose allowed us to appreciate the variety and beauty of the landscapes, to see magnificent towns and villages, and to .... eat very well. I'd recommend the cooking class, which took place in a beautiful farmhouse with a very enthusiastic person, and which enabled us to share a really good time. The equipment provided is excellent, the guidance is perfect, the assistance works very well, and the choice of hotels right in the center of town is a plus.....

Esperienza negativa: Appena terminato un tour autoguidato in Salento di una settimana dal 3 al 9 giugno 2023. Esprimo il mio giudizio su due ambiti: strutture ricettive programmate e dotazione tecnica. Le strutture offerte sono state di qualità a dir poco scadente, ad eccezione del B&B "Fuori dal Guscio" di Santa Maria di Leuca che merita un giudizio di eccellenza. Ancorchè fosse stata scelta lo'pzione offerta da Salento Bici Tour di sistemazione in categoria superior, ribadisco e riaffermo che le sistemazioni sono state di qualità scadente. Camere piccole e scomode, senza vista o con vista a dir poco triste. Provare per credere Hotel Basiliani con vista su disimpegno esterno di altre unità probabilmente a disposizione del personale di servizio dell'hotel: caldaie esterne arrugginite e tende da sole lercie.. Passiamo poi alla dotazione tecnica, le biciclette... La scelta del tour con biciclette muscolari ci ha permesso di avere a disposizione dei "ferri" arrugginiti e pesanti. Per non parlare della dotazione per eventuale interventi di riparazione riposti in borsa plastificata con immagini equine (davvero professionale); attrezzi altrettanto arrugginiti e di qualche epoca fa. Delle biciclette pubblicizzate sul sito (Specialized Sirrus?!?!?!?) nemmeno l'ombra. Unica opzione biciclette Velo De Ville di un secolo fa. Il tutto condito da una grande presunzione e supponenza dell'intero staff nel considerare le minime istanze poste, anzi l'unica istanza posta nell'aver espresso scontento sul servizio offerto in un'unica struttura. Da NON ripetere , un grande NO.

Good bikes and the hotels / B&B were very nice except from lack of hot water in the shower the last night . This is a company (and a tour) that we certainly want to recommend!

Esperienza fantastica: Highly recommend Carlo & Giulia at Salerno Bike Tours. We arrived Lecca, had briefing Saturday night. Clear & informative. We chose self guided. They used an app “ride with gps” which was very good. Sunday Lecce to Otranto, nice cycle almost all on quiet car free roads. Went out Monday to family bakery and tour with Carlo. He loves and I mean loves Salento. No wonder it’s beautiful. He is a source of information and insight about everything Salento. On Tuesday harder (cycling) work to St Maria de Leuca, but fantastic scenery. On Wednesday, to Gallipoli. Longest cycle but lots to see and stop for, pretty flat. On Thursday we visited Donna Anna with Guilia’s tour group. Lots of fun at the cooking class. Friday back to Lecce. Arrangements excellent, we had asked for early transport of bags and all was done. Partners gluten free notified. Just great people and company. Guilia plays the accordion, an Italian jimmy Shane. Carlo the tambourine. We met nice people on the self guided tour, chatting over breakfast. Don’t miss ice cream at Natale in Lecce. Book direct with them, self or guided. I had regular bike partner e-bike. Helmets and pannier included.

Esperienza fantastica: A very nice day with a guide who shares his passion of his land. We drove in very beautiful small country roads, discovered some monoliths and caves as well as their stories. Beautiful landscapes at the end of the day, along the coast. Very good & new e-bikes . Enchanted

Abbiamo noleggiato le bici e siamo state seguite benissimo da Carlo e il suo team, sono dei ragazzi super disponibili e super simpatici. Le bici ottime, controllate e ben equipaggiate per ogni evenienza e grazie ai loro tour potrete gustarvi in tranquillità tutto il viaggio.

Esperienza fantastica: Just returned from a tour of the Puglia region and must say that it is one of the best cycling experiences I have had. I have been on a number of tours in Europe and this was so well organized exceptional staff and a real sense that they were both looking out for our interest and wanted us to get the most out of the experience. We had a group from Canada and had waited two years well worth the wait. Our Guide Giulia was fantastic and made the experience a great one .

Esperienza fantastica: We had been organizing a guided tour with Salento Bici Tours when the pandemic hit. We were unable to do the tour (17 of us) until October 2022. Throughout the process of working with Carlo and his team, building this tour we had exceptional service and attention to detail.We did a guided 8 day tour of the Puglia region. Once we started the tour with Guilia as our leader we knew we were in for an exceptionally well organized event. We were immersed into the the community and Italian culture right from the beginning. Everything from the hotels we stayed at to the food we ate all seemed focused on that authentic Italian experience. By having a guide we could concentrate on the experience and not trying to figure out which road was best. Along the way we were introduced to many community minded people and organizations who were driven by passion and sustainability. Having done many of these tours in the past I would rank them among the very best. We were treated more like family than just a group of tourists. They helped all of us along the way, were flexible with the Itinerary and always wanting to do more. Younes our support person was such a super nice young man, always wanting to do that little extra. Cristiano, Guilia's right hand man was so very helpful and thoughtful as well. Folks in short if you want to do a cycling trip of a lifetime be it your very first or tenth this is the company you should be going with.

Esperienza fantastica: I and my family (kids 9 and 11) we just finished our family trip with Salento Bici. It was our first one week bike holidays so a was bit worried how it all will work but we had a great time!!! Staying two nights in one place, nice small country roads, lot of nature, culture, sea and one accommodation with swimming pool made the trip just perfect for us so I would highly recommend both Salento Bici and this trip to families with kids! Esperienza fantastica: We really liked this company! They arranged a special self-guided tour for us as we only had four days at our disposal, and it was great. They were very easy and professional to communicate with, the trekking bikes were very well maintained and fullt equiped, the accomodations were nice (we chose 3-star accomodations), the road book was also nice. So we are very satisfied and can highly recommend a biking tour with them.

Esperienza fantastica: We did the self-guided 6 day food & wine trip, and it really was the best of both worlds of benefiting from the local knowledge and planning, but having the freedom to take our time and do our thing. Everyone on the team was lovely to deal with, the GPS app worked really well and it was so glorious not to have to stress about routes etc. Perhaps best of all was that every night we ended up at a fabulous restaurant, sampling the local produce and cuisine. (needless to say we over-ate, feeling we had earned it). It is so easy to go wrong as a tourist when choosing a restaurant as it can be a total crapshoot, so the great selections made by the team were a real boon. It was also very relaxing to know that should we get a flat tyre or our brake make a noise, someone helpful was rapidly at hand to make our problems go away - and they did! Each day our luggage was miraculously waiting for us in our hotel rooms, and when I left my bathing suit behind, the team kindly retrieved it for me. It's a small company with a personal touch that makes for an unforgettable experience. And they work tirelessly to make it smooth and pleasurable. It far exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it. Dying to go back to some of those places, though.

Esperienza fantastica: Excellent arrangements for first-time travelers on an 8-day food and wine trip along the Salento coastline. EBikes were in top condition and road map in GPS chose interesting routes. The helpful staff were outstanding during the planning of the trip and once we arrived. Although we were on an independent itinerary without a guide, the staff were immediately available to answer questions. Highly recommend and can't wait to return for another trip.

All our food and accommodation was first rate as was the self guided route. All of us would definitely take another tour with this organization as everyone was very friendly and attentive.

Esperienza fantastica: Guided Classic Tour of 180 miles was amazing. 14 of us form all over the world, got along very well. All 6 days were very well organized and the bikes were like brand new and in excellent maintained condition. Hotels along the way were delightful in the historic centers, clean, comfortable and provided ample breakfast options. Dinner was included nightly and did not disappoint. Our guide, Piergiorgio, always a gentleman, making sure everyone's needs were taken care of, full of knowledge and information at every stop. The highlight was our cooking class day, at a beautiful bnb with an incredible in-ground pool and grounds--as well as delicious food and wine. Salento tours owners Carlo and Giulia were easy to work with, making reservations and answering all our questions beforehand. Definitely a 5-star adventure all around. Highly recommend using Salento Bici Tours for your next cycling adventure!

Esperienza fantastica: The trip that Salento Bici Tour (SBT) organized for us was amazing. We were self-guided, but well supported by the staff of SBT. The routes kept us mostly off busy roads and cycling on backcountry roads with almost no traffic. They took us to interesting places both in towns and the countryside. SBT provided descriptions of these which helped in appreciating what we were seeing. We tagged along with a guided tour from SBT for one day at Carlo's suggestion. It was well worth it. Carlo knows the history and people of Salento well, which adds a lot to the pamphlet descriptions. The B&B accommodation SBT arranged was terrific - we did go for the upgraded accommodation. The hosts were helpful and provided a milk-product-free breakfast, a necessity for my partner. SBT set up several tastings for us that encompassed wine, produce, and dairy (I tasted; my partner did not). All were good experiences from the perspective of the products tasted and meeting the hosts. Being self-guided, we often were at a tasting by ourselves, which allowed for a relaxed interaction with our hosts. The SBT recommended restaurants were good to exceptionally good.

Vélos de très bonne qualité - un musculaire et un électrique. Très bonnes adresses d'hébergement, road book et traces GPS impeccables, nous recommandons.

Esperienza fantastica: Ho partecipato ad un tour guidato organizzato da Salento Bici Tour. Siamo partiti da Otranto, loro ci hanno fornito le biciclette, e ci hanno guidati in un lungo percorso tra le campagne intorno ad Otranto, abbiamo visitato delle case rupestri, abbiamo poi visitato la cava di Bauxite e ci siamo rifocillati in una masseria con prodotti tipici e musica salentina. Infine un bagno per rinfrescarci e poi di nuovo in marcia per tornare ad Otranto. E' stata una bellissima esperienza di vacanza slow. Abbiamo visitato luoghi di cui altrimenti non avremmo mai saputo l'esistenza, i ragazzi dell'organizzazione sono molto simpatici e professionali. Un pulmino ci ha seguiti per tutto il tragitto per soccorrerci in caso di problemi. E' un'esperienza di viaggio che consiglio a tutti vivamente. Avrete modo così di scoprire il vero Salento, e di divertirvi anche:) Ho ritrovato alcune foto di quel viaggio, le trovate allegate a questa recensione, vi daranno un assaggio di quello che potrete vivere prenotando un loro tour.

Esperienza fantastica: Professionnels et de bon conseils, ils prennent le temps et ont du bon matos. J'ai roulé de Lecce/Otranto/Leuca/Galipolli avec leur vélo sans soucis. Vélo un peu lourd (pas de vélo de route) mais robuste et tout terrain. Je recommande!

Esperienza fantastica: Ho partecipato all'evento "autostrada delle biciclette 2016". Un’esperienza meravigliosa: Leuca-Otranto, 54 km di bellezza naturalistica ed umana. Ci siamo riempiti gli occhi di luoghi mozzafiato a partire dall’inizio, il santuario di Leuca e poi di seguito il Ciolo, Acquaviva, Tricase, il faro di punta Palascia e tutta la costa fino ad Otranto. Abbiamo ascoltato gli appassionanti racconti delle associazioni Coppula Tisa, Terrarossa Cooperativa Sociale, Magna Grecia Mare, Oikos.
