Esperienza fantastica: Sara was amazing from the beginning of our trip to the end. We went on a cruise and had 5 days of excursions. Messina was by far the best. Sara reached out a few weeks before our trip to make sure we were comfortable with the hiking we were going to do. She also was in contact a few days before. Giancarlo was a fantastic driver. We had three boys ages 26-21 and they were able to have fun with him as well. We started off with a cannoli tasting and then she introduced us to the amazing fresh oranges growing in the region. We had a little bit of a drive to Mt Etna and she was very knowledgeable about the region and geology. We ended in Toramina wish we had more time to see everything but when your on a cruise ship time is limiting. I will definitely come back to Sicily and will get with Sara for her expertise. I have already referred her to one of my friends going to Sicily in the spring. I can’t say enough about how much our whole family enjoyed Messina because of Sara and Giancarlo.

Esperienza positiva: Our tour guide was a very kind and informative lady. However, the tour itself was not well designed, and the Montserrat Monastery was not particularly stunning. If you are short on time, it is not worth visiting.

Esperienza fantastica: Amazing tour of Castelmola and Taormina with our tour guide Claudia and driver Diego. Claudia was perfect as she gave us a little history lesson along the way. She also gave excellent recommendations for both places. Lovely and informative and we were lucky to have her as our guide. The tour did not disappoint. A “Must Do” if you’re in Messina!

The story of Santa Lucia really touched my heart and the ceramic heads story wowww Taormina was so gorgeous and delicious Our guides Katia and Claudia were so informative and so sweet and caring. Loved meeting them. They will always be remembered and have a place in my heart ❤️

Esperienza fantastica: This tour was amazing because of our tour guide Katia ! She was our best guide our whole cruise off the sun princess ! She met us and group right at pier in Messina ! She had tastings, water for us including an unexpected cannoli at end of tour showing us some extra key places in Messina. Savoca was beautiful with the history of godfather filming there many years ago . She gave us time on our own in Taormina but she was always giving us great stories , history on the bus and stayed with us through complete Savoca visit ! Again great tour on ship stop in Sicily and highly recommend !

Esperienza fantastica: This was one of my favorite tours ever! Alessandra was an incredible tour guide. She has the best personality, is smart, witty and speaks excellent English. The tour was terrific from start to finish. The food and beverages, the boat ride (with charming and fun captains), swimming in the Ionian Sea, the beautiful sites, the views and yummy food and fun shopping in Taormina- second to none! A MUST!!!!!

Esperienza fantastica: Chiara was a well informed and interesting guide!! She may have moved a little fast for some of the guests initially but adjusted her pace accordingly and still kept the tour moving on time. Truly enjoyed it all!

Esperienza fantastica: We joined this tour as a shore excursion starting from the Messina port. From booking on Viator to pick up at the pier, the company was extremely organized and communicated very well. We were told in advance, to look for the orange shirts with a Lion head, where and when to meet on the pier and even our tour guide’s name. When we came off the ship, everything was exactly as described which made it very easy to find the right tour and Sabrina greeted us warmly. During the ride, Sabrina provided tons of information, along with a cookie and water. She speaks English well (maybe a little fast, but still easily understandable). The drive itself was stunning, with many expansive views and the 2 locations we stopped were gorgeous. Lots of shopping, beautiful picture opportunities, good food and everything you imagine when visiting Italy. I highly recommend this tour and you would be lucky to have Sabrina leading it. She paced well to the audience, spoke to everyone, made suggestions for things to eat and experience. She is knowledgeable and friendly! Antonella was our driver and she took great care of us also. The drive up the mountain was steep and windy, but she handled it with ease and confidence. She also got as close as possible to drop off points and never made us wait too long. Everything was timed well, with enough time to see and enjoy the sites, grab a snack and people watch without wasting hours of time. What else can you ask for? A beautiful day all around!

It was very simple to find our tour, and Claudia our tour guide did the rest. There was no stress involved and the tour delivered as promised. Our visits to both locations allowed enough time to take in their charm and vistas, and Claudia herself made the excursions informative and fun. I would not hesitate use this company again.

Esperienza fantastica: We did the Godfather Tour with Katia while on our cruise, it was wonderful from the time we met her off the boat until being dropped back off at the boat! We had handicapped people with our group and she made sure all their needs were met along with our driver Giacomo! We had super nice van so it made for a more intimate tour. Katia was super knowledgeable not only about the tour sites but Sicily and its history in general. 20 out of 10 couldn’t recommend more and 100% book another tour with her when we come back to Sicily!

Esperienza fantastica: If you’re visiting the area, don’t hesitate to use this company. We had a wonderful experience on our Taormina and Castelmola tour. Although we were nervous about booking with a company outside the cruise line, they surpassed our expectations. Check-in was well organized, and they were easy to find right off the cruise dock. They emailed before the tour to learn our interests and pair us with the perfect guide. That choice paid off, because Mariarita was an absolute gem. Even on a large bus, she made us feel like we were on a small, private tour. She was highly knowledgeable about the area and presented the information in an engaging, way. I can’t recommend this company enough for any tour in the Messina area.

Esperienza fantastica: We did the Godfather Tour with Katjia. The beauty of Savoca and Tamorina is truly stunning. If you are a fan of the movie and Sicilian history this tour is a must. The shopping and restaurants available are endless. Katia was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. She really took great care of the group. We had plenty of free time.

Esperienza fantastica: Claudia was an excellent tour guide for our tour of Isola Bella and Castelmola. We have taken many tours in many countries over the years and found Claudia to be exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and we would definitely tour with her again. We are touring Mt Etna tomorrow and are now disappointed that we are not touring with Claudia. Our driver Gian Carlo was also excellent!

We learned a lot from our guide who was very informative and very kind. She pointed out the types of foods we should try that are staples of the area and they were delicious! Esperienza fantastica: What a fantastic day visiting Mt. Etna and Taormina. We were only 12 people on the tour so it was almost as good as a private tour. Comfortable and clean bus with USB charging. Carmelo was a fountain of information. Mother Nature was very kind as we had clear skies to view the volcano. And what a view! We just thought we would see it from an outlook point but no! We boarded an expedition type vehicle that only took our group further up so we could get out and do a small hike and take as many photos as we wanted! Then we went off to Taormina where we had about 1.5 hours to tour on our own. Try the Arancini at StritFud! I highly recommend this tour if you go to Sicily or as a shore excursion from Messina.

Esperienza fantastica: Booked through Shore Excursions Group instead of Celebrity. Better price. Katia was an awesome guide through Savoca and Taormina. She really knows and loves the place and the people. It was raining hard and she gave us her umbrella, provided snacks, and made sure we were all safe walking on the wet cobblestones. The excursion with Katia and Emmanuel was fun considering the awful weather. Makes us want to go back to Sicily and stay longer in sunnier weather. Thanks Katia and Emmanuel!

Esperienza fantastica: We did a tour of Mt Etna and Taormina on our cruise stop in Sicily. Our tour guide, Serena, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. When we got to Taormina we had the most amazing pizza. The restaurant was busy, so it took longer than expected, but the pizza was worth the loss of exploring time. And don’t forget to find a place to grab a conoli! We do wish we’d had a bit more time to explore, but over all it was an excellent experience.

Esperienza fantastica: Out of all our Mediterranean cruise ports, Messina, Sicily, was our hands-down favourite. We booked the Taormina Land and Sea Tour through Discover Messina Sicily, and it delivered on every level — culture, views, food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and unforgettable Sicilian beauty and warmth. Our guide for the entire day was named Alessandra, and she was intelligent, charming, well spoken and incredibly friendly. We drove from the port of Messina to Taormina, a stunning hilltop town with postcard views over the Ionian Sea and a backdrop of Mount Etna. Our first stop was a local breakfast cafe called Bar Pizzeria where we were treated to authentic granitas with an Italian bun. Goodness, it was so delicious. I asked the staff what they recommended for flavours and they said fragola (strawberry) and pistachio. Wow, so yummy and unforgettable. Sweet and savoury, it was the best, richest and most flavourful granita I had in all of Italy. We wandered the cobblestone streets, browsed small boutiques, and soaked in the atmosphere at Piazza IX Aprile. We also speed walked all the way over to the Giardini della Villa Comunale — the landscaped public gardens with shady pathways, exotic plants, and panoramic viewpoints. Apparently Arancini was one of the things to eat here so we went to a place called Stritfud to try their Diavolo and Ravi versions. this was definitely the spot! Crunchy, savoury, melt in your mouth delicious So outstanding. From there, we ventured to the coast for an unforgettable boat tour of along the coastline We docked off of a location close to the Temple Olimpico Naxos. We went past many sites including the beaches by Spiaggia San Giovanni Giardini Naxos, the mini island of Isola Bella, got up and close to the Grotta Azzurra, and then dipped into the Ionian Sea. Geneva says we’re water babies so we absolutely loved our time in the water and the seas. There were so many pictures of hotels and beaches and places where we saw people vacation. Such a beautiful spot popular but not over crowded. Our tour guide on the boat was Vincenzo, and he was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the area that was well travelled himself. He also treated us to snacks, Prosecco, and pop. As a group of 12, we were lucky enough to actually have her own boat, and the other half of our tour group were split into a different boat. This ended up being one of those absolutely perfect days. The weather was beautiful. The water was incredibly warm that was super hospitable. I can’t speak highly enough of discovering Sicily with this tour group and what an amazing day we had.

I have a disability and walk with a cane everyone came to assist me to get on the boat and even in and out of the car. They were so patient and kind! I would recommend this tour 100% My grandson and I will remember it forever! As much for the wonderful people as the beautiful sights!!!

Esperienza fantastica: Messina was a short stop on our recent cruise and the walking tour gave us a quick taste of the city and its street food which left us all wanting to return for more in the future! Tania was a wonderful and relaxed guide and did well to accommodate our group of 10, including 4 young adult “children”. The bell/clock tower show at noon at the Cathedral of Messina was amazing— but hot on our day—bring a sun umbrella as there is not a lot of shaded areas. The food— amazing! Granita with fresh cream and brioche was our favorite ❤️ Thanks for an amazing day!

Esperienza fantastica: Had an amazing experience with Tania. She accommodated our large family last minute to keep our family together after being split up bc we booked separately. As we were touring she recognized my family surname and gave us a bit of information about our family history. I would love to go back to Sicily and book another experience with this company! Tania was well spoken. The tour was organized and the walking historical tour was broken up by enough food stops to keep you energized and full. Hands down after a 24 day trip across the Mediterranean Sicily is not only beautiful but I can say the food was great too. Our family had just a few hours in Messina but we all decided we will be back for more after this experience!

Esperienza positiva: Went on a tour of Mt. Etna and Taormina in July 2025, and it was a good experience overall. Serena was a great guide and would get a 5/5 herself. The tour started with an hour or so bus ride to Mt. Etna with a stop to sample local snacks, wine, and honey. This was all delicious, but this is more of a sampling than and a true tasting experience given time constraints. Mt. Etna was great to see and the Cannolis at the cafe there are a must-have. Taormina is a beautiful town on the mountainside with lots to offer in terms of historical buildings/architecture, great food, good views, and shopping. The only real downside to the tour we went on is there is a fair amount of time spent in transit between the port and the destinations, so time is limited to experience each place. That said, the tour group handled things very well, and the experience is definitely worth it if you’re interested in seeing/doing as much as possible in a one day stop.

Esperienza fantastica: I can’t tell you what a wonderful time we had today on our excursion to Castemola and Etna winery. Our two tour guides Giuseppe and Carmelo took care of us the whole day. We had such a wonderful time they took care of us. They explained every place that we went. I cannot say enough about these two gentlemen my husband, and I truly truly enjoyed this tour and we hope to meet them again. Fantastico. Arrivaderci ciao Sicilia for now!

Esperienza fantastica: Toured Taormina by land and Isola Bella by boat with Alessandra, who made the entire day seamless and fun. Alessandra was punctual, professional, super knowledgeable and went the extra mile for us on many occasions. She totally made the day special, and the boat ride was magical (especially when we got to swim). I'd also give high marks to the company for professionalism and ease of communication and would recommend booking a tour with them.

Esperienza fantastica: Escursione sulla costa di Taormina e Castelmola di 6 ore. Tour eccellente per la nostra visita in nave da crociera. La guida e i rappresentanti della compagnia di tour ci hanno accolto al molo e sono stati facili da trovare, tutto molto ben organizzato. Durante il viaggio ci sono state date molte informazioni interessanti sulla Sicilia. Nella bellissima Castelmola abbiamo fatto un breve tour a piedi seguito da un po' di tempo libero per esplorare ulteriormente o prendere un caffè e godere delle viste mozzafiato. A Taormina abbiamo fatto un tour a piedi di un'ora per tutta la lunghezza della città - così affascinante, interessante e bella! Abbiamo poi avuto del tempo libero per passeggiare ed esplorare, per fare acquisti, mangiare e rilassarci in questa splendida città. La guida ci ha segnalato posti consigliati dove mangiare ecc. L'autobus ci ha riportato al molo della nave, puntuale. In generale, un tour davvero eccellente che ha offerto un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo, soprattutto se confrontato con le escursioni offerte dalle compagnie di crociera. Abbiamo trascorso una giornata perfetta a Messina/Sicilia. Altamente raccomandato!

Il nostro giro in barca è stato assolutamente bellissimo e così rilassante. Il nostro Capitano era intrattenente e molto amichevole. Ci ha mostrato tanti posti bellissimi e il nostro bagno nelle splendide acque blu è stato meraviglioso. Il nostro tempo libero a Taormina dopo ci ha permesso di esplorare la sua bellezza al nostro ritmo. Non avremmo potuto chiedere una giornata migliore. Grazie Giulia!

Esperienza fantastica: L'autista è stato puntuale e la guida era esperta sulla storia della zona, indicando fatti divertenti. Il giro in barca è stato incredibile e sono stati sempre coinvolti con noi. Una volta in città, la guida ci ha mostrato l'arena e ci ha indicato i migliori posti "non turistici" dove mangiare e alcune delle sue preferenze. Ci ha anche mostrato e parlato di altre cose all'interno della città che sarebbero state trascurate se non fosse stato per il fatto che lui le ha indicato. Nel complesso, siamo stati molto soddisfatti di questa escursione.

Esperienza fantastica: Abbiamo fatto la pizza, ed è stata la parte migliore del viaggio! L'operatore turistico era professionale, facile da trovare, con autobus belli e parlava un inglese impeccabile. Il ristorante era incredibile. Lo chef ci ha insegnato a fare la pasta e l'impasto per la pizza. Abbiamo avuto antipasto e vino mentre aspettavamo che la nostra pasta cucinasse. Ci hanno poi inviato le ricette via email. Consiglio vivamente.

Esperienza positiva: Marianita era la nostra guida turistica e Jean Carlo era il nostro autista. Abbiamo visitato la cittadina montana di Castelmola e la città di Taormina. Entrambe sono state una visita, con grandi panorami e bellissime passeggiate nella storia, oltre a ottimi ristoranti e negozi da visitare. Suggerirei questo a molti visitatori in cerca di un tour in Sicilia.

Avevo una foto di una chiesa, storie di mia zia e un ramo della nostra famiglia come base per la nostra esplorazione.
