Esperienza fantastica: I'd recommend to buy 5€ 24h public transport ticket. It should save some you cash as it is most likely you'll go with a text Funicolar to the old castle to look around the town from a higher place.

Esperienza fantastica: Sono degli appartamenti trasformati in Bed and Breackfast. Si trova all'uscita della funicolare sopra la città vecchia. Fortunato chi riesce a prenotare con la WEB.

Esperienza positiva: Awesome location in Citta Alta even if it got a bit noisy at night. A bit funny to have to "check in" downtown Bergamo and then be transported up to the room. Could not pay with cards, only cash accepted :-( Nice and clean, thou and very friendly staff. Think I'll find another place next time.

Esperienza fantastica: How can anyone not love a Funicular? Part of the Bergamo public transport system, so very cheap (if you're there for a couple days get the 72h ticket for 7 euros -- it covers the airport bus as well!). Runs very frequently (every 6 minutes during peak times) and well into the night. Very busy in the mornings on the way up to Citta Alta, and vice versa in the evenings. If it's too crowded, take the 1 bus instead.

Esperienza positiva: i went to this hostel with my brother in July 2016 and let me say it was an interesting ride. When we arrived at the train station at 11pm, we had to walk all the way to the hostel, which was around a .75 mile walk. its was dark and kinda eerie since we knew nothing about the area. Once we got there, we were so excited to finally sleep, just to find the key had to be picked up at a location NEXT TO THE TRAIN STATION. We were very tired and by consequence, frustrated. So me and my brother had to walk all the way back. By then it was midnight and our phones died, and we were lost in this huge unknown place. While preparing to LITERALLY SLEEP IN THE STREETS, we luckily found some drunk but very kind locals, one of who's mom offered to drive us to the station. We were elated and thankful. When we got back to the station, we looked for the place for a while. eventually we found the key pickup spot at a location HIDDEN FROM VIEW AND BEHIND MANY CLOSED STORES AND RESTAURANTS WITH NO SIGN OF THE HOSTEL. We rushed over there, and found a kind desk clerk. Marta was her name, and she helped us so much. After we explained our vast troubles to find her, she was glad and thankful we found her. We shared our backgrounds, and she told us she was from Spain. After handing us the key, she discovered that the complementary cabs to the separate hostel were closed. Our hearts sank, thinking about the walk well have to endure again, already buckling at our knees and exhausted beyond compare. But Marta was clever, as she found 1 different cab who could bring us there. Finally, after a daunting 2.5 hours to find the key and return to our hostel, we could lay down on our beds and fall asleep. This hostel would have received a 0 out of 5 stars. Not only did they not make it clear that the key pickup spot was NOT at the hostel itself, but the location of the key pickup spot was HIDDEN and almost undiscoverable from plain sight. Beyond unacceptable. HOWEVER, that desk clerk, Marta, has bumped this rating up to 4 stars. without her kind help, i honestly believe we would be sleeping in the streets. She clearly explained to us everything, gave us our key, and even found us transportation when there clearly was none. Marta is the reason I would still recommend this hostel to other people, despite the disorganized way this hostel is ran. THANK YOU MARTA!

Esperienza positiva: Hotel w tym samym budynku, co sympatyczna kolejka prowadząca do niezwykle urokliwej części Bergamo. Wszędzie blisko :) Mogłoby być trochę taniej.
