Esperienza negativa: J’ai réserver l’activite Visite guidée du Vatican Une honte absolue ( j’ai attendu 2 mois avant de poster cet avis afin d’essayer de trouver un terrain d’entente avec cette société ) visite guidée avec Vivicos International Travel pour le 21 mai 2025. Ce fut une expérience catastrophique et une énorme déception… mettre un budget pour si peu ! ❌ Guide en retard, sans excuses ❌ Visite bâclée, expédiée au pas de course ❌ Aucun temps pour observer les œuvres, aucune explication construite ❌ Impossible de poser une question ❌ Radio inaudible, la guide était souvent trop loin sans attendre la troupe ❌ Elle répondait à son téléphone en pleine visite!! ❌ Et pour finir : elle nous a laissés seuls dehors, après avoir récupéré les oreillettes Malgré une réclamation très claire, aucune réponse. Silence total. Aucun remboursement. Aucun geste commercial. C’est tout simplement un scandale ! Laisse traîner et ne réagit pas !!! Je déconseille fortement cette agence, qui se moque de ses clients une fois l’argent encaissé. ⚠️ Touristes, fuyez !

Esperienza fantastica: Valentina was absolutely amazing! Her knowledge, kindness, and genuine passion for the history of the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica made the tour unforgettable. She brought the stories to life and patiently answered every question with grace and enthusiasm (I had a lot of questions). It felt like walking through centuries of faith and art with a friend. From your friend from Israel, by way of England and the USA — thank you, Valentina!

Esperienza fantastica: Our tour guide was easy to understand and created a very educational tour. She also paced it out well and knew where to go to avoid the sun to stay cool.

Esperienza negativa: This was extremely terrible. There was an issue with Viator but the tour company was not accommodating at all. We showed up on time and were denied from taking the tour after having paid full price for the tour. We are still awaiting resolution.

Esperienza fantastica: We had an amazing time! Our guide, i can’t remember his name but i have this photo with him, was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and gave us great recommendations for food afterwards. He made sure we knew when we could stop for water and the restrooms and he told us about current events going on around the area. If you’re debating going, definitely do! The history here is beautiful to see in person. The tour was about 2.5 hours, and we had time to explore the forum ourselves afterwards.

Esperienza fantastica: Our small group Coliseum tour was fantastic.It was a horribly hot day but our guide made the best of it. He was knowledge, entertaining and friendly. He didn’t pretend it wasn’t miserable weather and allowed us to stand in shade but yet made sure we kept moving. He even gave us food recommendations at the end of the tourBy the time it was over, we all felt like family. We’d choose our hide again!

She knew what to do in terms of logistics and took good care of us. Most importantly her explanations were super interesting and I left feeling I had learnt so much.

Minha dica, façam com guia, é importante para não chegar lá e só ver sem entender. nosso guia foi muito bom, atencioso e também nos pontuou bem para aproveitar os pontos de água, banheiro e até mesmo o cuidado para encontrar sombras

Esperienza fantastica: The guided tour of the Forum and Colosseo was truly excellent. Francesca was an exceptional guide, full of interesting facts and historical information. She gave us all so much time and didn’t rush through the tour despite the heat. I really enjoyed learning about the ancient history, what the Romans created (and destroyed). Francesca brought it all to life with passion and vigour that made it all the more enjoyable. It was worth the money at three hours in total. I would highly recommend this tour and company. Communication was great and they helped me find them as I got a bit lost. Well done everyone involved.

Esperienza negativa: Abbiamo prenotato per 2 persone il tour con guida della Cappella Sistina, dei Musei Vaticani e della Basilica di San Pietro. Il pomeriggio prima del tour ci arriva un messaggio che il tour è cancellato per mancato raggiungimento del numero minimo. In questo modo venendo meno i guadagni attesi hanno risparmiato il costo della guida, e non hanno avuto alcun riguardo dei nostri costi per raggiungere Roma e della nostra giornata rovinata.

Esperienza fantastica: A visita ao Coliseu e Foro Palatino com a Guia Danila em português foi uma aula de história de uma romana que ama sua cidade e sua história. Danila tem grande conhecimento, fala um ótimo português e tem uma excelente didática. Estamos viajando há 43 dias por Itália, França e Inglaterra. Das várias visitas guiadas que fizemos esta foi a melhor. Parabéns Vivicos, pelo alto padrão, organização e toda a equipe. Obrigado Danila, você é uma pessoa muito especial e tem um grande talento!

Esperienza negativa: Horrible company, I lost all my money and Travelocity couldn’t help at all. They changed the meeting location without any prior notification and by the time I went to their office, it was too late for the tour. When I got to the office, two people works their one her name is Fredricka promised me for the refund and later I found that she was only trying to make me leave. In addition, they mis advertise and mislead people. I will try to reach to one of the big network to warn people especially Americans to stop dealing with this company. Take my advice and stay away from this scam company.

She was extremely knowledgeable but also friendly and welcomed questions. Her English was perfect too. I can’t imagine trying to take in all the history without a guide, very glad we booked a tour.

Esperienza positiva: Our guide was passionate and knowledgeable, it was really interesting and we throughly enjoyed. The only reason we gave 4 stars was the speed of the tours. We are not unfit but it was 34 degrees. We would have preferred a slightly slower pace on a very hot day.

Esperienza negativa: Hicimos un tour al foro romano y al coliseo. La verdad que fue un espanto. El tour fue en español a las 13:45 con el guía Severus. El guía hablaba rapidísimo, no se le entendía nada y lo único que hacía era ir caminando sin mirar atrás. No pudimos ver nada ni sacar fotos. El grupo se desarmó muchas veces porque el guía al ir caminando tan rápido entre la cantidad de gente que hay te perdías. A las 2 de la tarde hacía más de 30 grados al rayo del sol y ni siquiera podíamos parar a recargas nuestras botellas de agua. No se le entendía nada. Hice muchísimos tours por toda Italia y los guías son siempre atentos contestan las preguntas te enseñan fotos. La verdad un desastre. Busquen otra agencia un poco más profesional que trabaje con gente acorde a la situación. Cuánto tiempo lleva uno esperando para conocer estos lugares y una persona de este tipo arruina totalmente la experiencia.

Esperienza fantastica: Amazing tour providing 2.5 hours of detailed history and stories. You feel educated afterwords. Exceeded my expectations as it was half the price of most of the other similar tours. Mircea was a wealth of information. Highly recommend.

Esperienza positiva: The tour was fairly good! I’ve done multiple free walking tours and multiple paid tours around the world. If you don’t want to read up on the history of the Forum, Palatine Hill and Colosseum, this is a great tour for you. If you want to get a quick picture and hear some good information in the process this is a great tour. However, a general knowledge of Roman history would go a long way in making this tour more engaging. If you like to do things at your own pace and really soak it in, I would say just wait in line and buy the general entrance tickets.

Esperienza negativa: Booked a tour to see the Roman Coloseum a month ago. 5 days ago they sent me a message through Viator that the time was changed from 8:30am to 10am. That wouldn’t work for me because I have a 1pm train. Tried to reach them via their customer service and no reply. I expect them to refund my money because there was no way I could cancel within their 8 day window when they give 5 days notice but as of now they are still not answering me.

Esperienza negativa: This was by far one of the worst tour experiences I’ve ever had, and I strongly urge others to avoid Colosseum and Vatican Tours. This company operates like ticket scalpers charging over triple the actual price of Vatican Museum tickets. A standard ticket is about $20, but I was charged $127 USD just to see the Vatican Museum. To make matters worse, they knew in advance the Sistine Chapel would be closing at 3 PM that day, yet our tour wasn’t scheduled to begin until 4 PM. We all showed up to the meeting point outside their offices and sat around doing absolutely nothing for 40 minutes. No explanation. No adjustment. Just waiting in the sun. Our guide was clearly disengaged and lacking enthusiasm like he didn’t even want to be there. Once we entered the museum, we were finally told by the guide (I have this on video) that he knew the chapel would be closed, but “didn’t believe they’d actually close it.” That’s completely unacceptable. We should’ve been informed before the walk to the museum even began, not after it was too late to back out or adjust our plans. They charge you a premium price under the illusion that you’re seeing all of the highlights the Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and the top of the dome. But in reality, we only saw the Museum, which was over four hours long and honestly, incredibly dull. Even the guide seemed bored. Everyone in our group not just our party was exhausted and ready to leave well before it ended. This company exploits tourists with outrageous markups and delivers a disappointing, poorly organized experience. Do yourself a favor and book directly through the Vatican. Don’t waste your money or your time here.

Esperienza negativa: BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM. All these people do is print out tickets for you and they are not even the correct dates or times you choose. They are re sellers and fraudsters that marauder outside the colosseum. They don’t have a booth or anywhere where you can file a claim. They left us with fraudulent tickets outside the colosseum in tremendous heat for an hour and then a scammer contacted us through WhatsApp asking for more money to re issue tickets. It’s all a trap. Beware!

Pésima experiencia.

Esperienza positiva: The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It is well worth the price, because it went for almost three hours. However, the audio equipment wasn’t the best (there was a lot of echo through the earbud). Also, the tour guide had a strong English accent, so I had to stand in front of him to fully understand what he was saying.

Esperienza negativa: TOTAL FRAUD! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They make me pay for a tour on a day when the St. Peter basilica is closed . Then when I found out and tried to cancel in advance they state their cancellation policy is only 50%!! So they charge me for something they can’t deliver and when I try to get my money back they only give me 50%.

Esperienza negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. Read others reviews carefully to see that this is a FREQUENT issue with this company. They will change your tour with no regard of your travel plans via WhatsApp messages, then ignore you if you can’t make that tour. They are not helpful in finding other solutions. We ended up having to just go through the Vatican ourselves and whilst still amazing, it was a real dampener on the trip as we missed out on learning about the history and culture from a guide. They also won’t help you get your money back, so beware.

In the animal section she even went to say it was cute and went around. The basilica ticket ofered is the free one!! Not even the skip the line. No guide for the basilica.. horrible experience and expensive.

Esperienza negativa: I purchased the tickets 2 weeks before the event. Showed up and while everyone else was receiving a sticker on for their chests to signify “guided tour” I got 2 paper tickets to the forum and colosseum even though I had clearly purchased two tickets for the guided tour as well. They brushed us off as fast as possible then continued to hand out the other stickers. Then, the guy told me to download the app for the audio book if I wanted to listen to the tour. (You can get that for much cheaper without hiring this company) which took forever to download, we finished walking around the forum and colosseum and it still did not download. I paid to have a guide and did not even get that. Terrible experience overall. Don’t recommend if you have never been to Rome and are looking to actually learn about the history. Hire another group. Unless you want to pay over $100 to do what you could’ve done by yourself at a much cheaper price.

I found out at the office at 8 a.m. I have been making arrangements for the reimbursement for 36 hours ago and between this company and Headout the responsibility is transferred. Esperienza fantastica: recommend this tour, worth every penny. Our guide Luciano was amazing, so knowledgeable & helpful. Tours can become boring & too long but the information he gave us was just so so interesting. Being on the arena floor and learning of all the sadness & barbaric element was very moving. Our thanks once again to a fantastic guide. The Roman Forum is spectacular and the arena, well, no picture can capture its grandeur.

The small group format made the guide accessible for questions and easy to keep up our stay for extra pictures.

Los que pudimos hacer el toir pésimo , el guía lo hizo corriendo , no pudimos disfrutar nada , no dio tiempo para fotos. Nos habló súper mal , muy mal trato. Les escribí y nunca contestaron . No recomiendo para nada . Muy mal educado el guía . Se lo dijeron los demás participantes del tour también .

Esperienza fantastica: Amazing organisation, if you are planning trip to Rome, my full recommendation! Kind, knowledgeable, without stress... Easy going, but fun. We were discovering Vatican with them and would repeat it without hesitation!

Esperienza negativa: Vatican tour booked 5 month before our journey to Rome was cancelled only 1day before. Explanation given to us unfortunately not enough people booked the same tour and language. Definitely not recommended. Not friendly and not at all customer oriented company, wrong business.

Esperienza fantastica: I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel this evening with our tour guide David. His knowledge of the history of the Vatican along with details of the art and sculptures was expansive and was delivered with a lovely sense of humour. My favourite sculpture from today: art doesn’t have to be perfect to be excellent.

Esperienza negativa: Huge disappointment & last minute let down by tour supplier! Cancel & book yourself directly with Colloseum if you still can, because supplier/ Viator won't refund you when they change the time last minute, even if you are not able to make their new time. Absolutely shocking experience with Vivicos International Travel. They whatsapp'd me after 7pm the night before to change my previously confirmed tour time, then ignored my response messages explaining that I couldn't make the new time and ignored my plea asking for other alternative times if they couldn't honor the original time they had already confirmed and taken my money for. They only responded the following morning 9am to say they couldn't help and that I should contact Viator directly for a refund, which they knew they would reject anyway. On the Viator platform, this supplier offers Colloseum Guided Tour times every half an hour, while the Colloseum only offers/ allows tours at specific times & ranges for far fewer than 30min frequencies. I was travelling with a large group of people, and many of us booked this tour (seperately) and were all treated to the same inconsiderate changes of times from what we had all previously booked and confirmed. This was not an isolated incident, they accept bookings for times that don't even exist and/ or take over capacity and then make it the guests problem. Read the other reviews for this tour and other similar tours offered by same supplier on Viator and you will see that this treatment is the norm. I wish I had taken the reviews seriously. I am shocked that a platform like Viator still entertains suppliers like this and allows them to get away with it.

Esperienza fantastica: Fiz um tour pelo Coliseu e minha agência no Brasil os contratou, gostei muito pois contratamos em português e realmente foi na linguagem que contratamos, o que não houve em outro passeio de outra empresa. O guia que nos acompanhou foi muito simpático e educado, fez o passeio ser muito especial. Contrataria novamente e indicaria.

Esperienza positiva: Taking off one star because they changed my tour time two days before, from morning to afternoon. Luckily, my afternoon plans were flexible, so I adjusted. The meeting point was near the Colosseum; we started at the Roman Forum and ended at the Colosseum. The tour lasted about 2.5 hours, plenty to take in, but you could easily spend more time there. Our guide, Eliane (a passionate Brazilian historian), was the highlight! 5 stars for her. She made the whole experience come alive. Next time, I’d book her for a full-day private tour. Amazing overall. Bring a hat, it gets sunny!

Esperienza negativa: A truly disappointing experience. This \$220 tour turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes of our entire trip. It promised an immersive visit to three of Rome’s most iconic sites — the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and Palatine Hill — but ended up being a rushed walk-through, with shallow explanations, a disinterested guide, and poor organization overall. From the very start, the guide’s attitude was cold and unfriendly. She made little effort to connect with the group, and worse, consistently downplayed the importance of what we were seeing. Comments like *“this isn’t that significant”* or *“let’s move on, this part isn’t worth much time”* were incredibly frustrating to hear, especially when standing in places with thousands of years of history, culture, and meaning behind them. There were no engaging stories, no meaningful context, nothing to help us grasp the weight of what we were witnessing. No effort made to appreciate its architectural brilliance or historical depth. When several of us voiced concerns about how rushed everything felt, the guide reassured us that we could stay longer after the tour to explore on our own. That turned out to be a complete lie. As soon as the tour ended, we were directed out of the site and not allowed back in. That moment — being shut out after expecting to explore more — felt like the final insult. This tour wasn’t just a waste of money; it was a missed opportunity to connect with the soul of Rome. There was no storytelling, no passion, and certainly no respect for the sites or the visitors. Instead of feeling inspired or enriched, we walked away feeling misled, frustrated, and incredibly disappointed. A heartbreaking experience I wouldn’t wish on any traveler.

Esperienza positiva: I am only taking one star away because they have changed my tour hours 2 days before the scheduled date. I was supposed to go a morning colosseum, and they changed to afternoon. Luckily all the sites I had planned on visiting on the afternoon were free sites, thus I just went to those in the am and did the afternoon tour with them. The meeting location was near colosseum and we started with the other side, the Roma Forum, and finished at the Coloseum. It was a good timing for the tour, I am sure there is a longer one because there is just so much history there. We had a 2h and a half tour. We LOVED our tour guide, we give her a 5 star all the way, her name is Eliane, she is Brazilian, and she is totally in love with history, specially Rome history. We enjoyed our time with her. Next time I go, I am going to hire her for a private one for a full day there. It was an amazing experience. Take a hat with you, really sunny!

Esperienza fantastica: We hebben op het laatst een tour met een gids geboekt, Francesco ofwel Fred heeft ons uitgebreid meegenomen door het Vaticaan museum. Hij heef veel te vertellen en het is absoluut een aanrader. Door hem konden we langs de rijen wachtende mensen heen. Nadeel is dat het erg druk was, je af en toe even moest ‘rennen’ omdat je nog even wilde kijken of een foto maken en hij door moest lopen. Voor de gids een 5 sterren, uiteindelijk kan hij er niks aan doen dat het zo belachelijk druk was en ik af toe me afvroeg ‘ wat als er nu wat gebeurd?’. Het museum is prachtig, wij zijn nooit meer in de st Pieters Baselic geweest. Echt veel te druk en de six chapel was gesloten. Reis was al gepland voor de paus overleed, maar ik zou niemand aanraden nu naar Rome te gaan. Het is jubeljaar, 1 keer in de 25 jr gaan de katholieken op een soort bedevaart, de paus is overleden en iedereen wil daar langs lopen. Beter volgend jaar of in laag seizoen deze tour doen. Maar de gids is en topper met veel kennis

Esperienza negativa: we booked a trip for a specific time but it turned out that we were not on the list so we had to wait an hour.so we have to rush for the next one .There was not supposed to be a queue at the closeum but there were too few of us so we had to stand on normal line. The trip started 15 minutes later so there was more running around. The price for the service definitely does not match 180€for to people.

Esperienza negativa: "I purchased four tickets through VV-Course International Travel Service for a guided tour of the Colosseum in Rome, at €36 per person. According to the booking, the tour was supposed to include a professional guide, and I even had to select the language — I chose English. At the meeting point, someone showed up just to hand us the tickets and told us we were 'on our own.' There was no guide, no tour, and no further instructions. We entered the Colosseum at 6 PM, and by 7 PM we were told to leave because it was closing. We had paid double the standard ticket price for a service that was simply not delivered. Given the misleading description and the lack of the guided experience we paid for, I am requesting a full refund."

Esperienza positiva: Para mi y mi esposa era importante conocer el coliseo por dentro. El horario elegido de las 15 hs nos precio más acorde a nuestra edad (70). Con el temor de perder esta oportunidad aceptamos el cambio adelantado para las 10 hs que propusieron. Soportar el calor del mediodía era lo que queríamos evitar. No es agradable que nos cambie lo planes y desconfiar el porqué de vuestros imprevistos viendo como llegaron sobre le hora para comenzar dejando un día agotador. Pero bueno, espero que este sirva para mejorar y pensar en la consecuencias de quiniela contratamos un tours a un precio, a mi entender elevado. Agradezco me permitan expresar lo que nos pareció. Esperienza negativa: Guide leave behind, my mother and another lady, they went to escalator, to go down at Coliseo...and gost lost! The guide just left and continuos the tour to Monte and forem, so me my mothet anda thist 2 other ladies, were left and we coukd fisinsh the tour! Its not fair we paid very expensive f9r this experience and nobody (guide and suport) help us! They are 80 year old, we are very desapointed. And the group was not the far, because all the time i was listenibg the guide in the radio! When they got out, we tried to go to Palatino but we could not get inside...because the guide just give a shit to us!!!!!!

Esperienza negativa: My experience with Vivicos International Travel was nothing short of a complete disaster and significantly marred my first, and potentially only, opportunity to see the Colosseum in Rome. The tour I booked was explicitly described as a guided tour, which turned out to be a blatant misrepresentation. Not only was the description inaccurate, but the company also failed spectacularly on their promise to deliver my ticket. I waited for a staggering 45 minutes in the rain at the designated meeting point, as instructed, and no representative from Vivicos ever showed up. There was very little attempt to rectify the situation and absolutely no regard for my time or the fact that this was meant to be a special experience for my first visit to Rome and the iconic Colosseum. To say I am disappointed is a massive understatement. Vivicos International Travel's false advertising and complete lack of reliability cost me valuable time and, more importantly, the chance to experience a guided tour of a landmark I had long dreamed of seeing. Their negligence and failure to fulfill their basic promises are unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering booking with Vivicos International Travel to exercise extreme caution. My experience suggests a company that is dishonest in its descriptions and utterly unreliable in its service. They completely failed to deliver on their promises and ruined a significant part of my trip to Rome. I would not trust them with my travel plans again.

Esperienza negativa: Quiero expresar mi profunda insatisfacción con el tour que contratamos a través de su agencia para visitar el Coliseo Romano y el Foro Romano el día 23 de abril de 2025 a las 9:15 de la mañana. Nos hicieron un primer cambio de hora a las 13'30, eso suponía no tener apenas tiempo para comer porque luego por la tarde teníamos ya reservada otra visita guiada. Aceptamos y rehicimos el plan del día. Nos dijeron que "por los inconvenientes causados mejoraban nuestra experiencia dándonos acceso a la Entrada de los Gladiadores". Cuál fue nuestra sorpresa que volvieron a cambiarnos la hora, esta vez para las 15,30h, no nos gustó nada el cambio pero no teníamos otra posibilidad de entrar en el Coliseo con tan poco margen de tiempo. El guía aportó muy poca información en la visita por los Foros y cuando le preguntamos por la entrada a los Gladiadores nos dijo que él no sabía nada del tema. En definitiva, muy mala experiencia, poca información del guía, mala gestión de la empresa, a partir de la visita ya no tuvimos respuesta ni por teléfono ni por whatsApp. Nada recomendable. Ya hemos aprendido con quién no volver a contratar servicios turísticos en el futuro.
