Esperienza fantastica: It was definitely worth the money I paid for it! I actually scarily and accidentally went alone but ended up meeting a lot of different groups of people, even some whom I’m still in a chat with! Do read the fine print and see which activities are included and of additional cost. I ended up only doing one additional paid event (Pompeii) but it gave me time to explore Capri more! One of my guides, Alisa, recommended a beach and helped me navigate to and from it which was awesome! The water was beautiful and I’m pretty sure I saw a juvenile angelfish and a butterfly fish there!

Esperienza fantastica: The Smart Trip green Chianti wine tour was everything I didn’t know I needed — rolling hills, bottomless wine, and two absolute legends leading the charge: Sam and Emily. They somehow managed to keep a group of mildly tipsy twenty-somethings both entertained and alive, which honestly deserves a medal. Emily was the hype woman we didn’t know we needed, and Sam had us all laughing while casually herding us from vineyard to vineyard like well-dressed, wine-happy sheep. 10/10 would get tipsy in Tuscany with them again.

The buses are honestly pretty tough to get through and some of the hostels are pretty far from city centers, but it’s nice to have everything set up for you. My tour guides on my recent trip were super nice and helpful, Sam, Scarlett, Alisa, and Bridget!

Esperienza fantastica: Smart trip is amazing!! My friends and I just got back from the trip from Rome to the Amalfi coast and this organization exceeded our expectations. Our guides were Michelle Katie Jordan Emily Skylar and Veronica and they did such a good job of making sure everyone was accommodated. They were in constant contact with everyone in the group making sure everyone was safe and having fun. I truly enjoyed getting to know the guides they gave great advice and were very helpful. After this trip I will definitely be booking with smart trip again and I would recommend it to any students studying abroad !

Esperienza negativa: This review is for Florence to Paris. I would not recommend this tour. Cost approximately 350 euros for a 12 hour and 30 bus ride with no bathroom. While in Paris you stay at a Generator Hostel which is just ok and kind of shabby. Tour of Eiffel Tower is not included. The Seine River cruise is not included. The Louvre museum is also not included in price. Also shockingly the travel from hostel to river cruise is also not included. The guide is rude and this trip stinks. You are much better off taking plane roughly 150 euro round trip and splitting AirBnB with friends this is approximately 50 euro a night. Also the literature provided is ambiguous and makes it appear that tours are included in price. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND..

Esperienza fantastica: Had a great day trip to Tuscany with this group! Our guide Brenna was super cool and made the trip so much fun! We went to siena, san gimignano, and pisa for only $50 and it was well worth the money. The included wine tasting and lunch were great too! Will definitely book with this group again.

Esperienza fantastica: Wow wow wow. First off thank you smart trips. You’ve made my study abroad experience so memorable already. The other weekend I went on the cinque terre trip and it easily was the highlight of my study abroad experience. I’ve been on a few trips while I’ve been here but booking through you guys has to be my favorite. Not only was it a great time but it also was so stress free because of all the planning you guys put into it! Taking away the stress of planning really helped the trip feel like a vacation. Aside from the affordable deals, the cherry on top has to be the staff. The staff is so friendly and definitely adds to the experience. The first person who approached me about smart trips was a girl named brenna. She sold me the minute we started talking. Her energy was so upbeat and got me really excited for the trip and her spiel definitely lived up to the hype! She for sure made the trip that much more fun with her out going, positive, energetic vibes. Anyway definitely a 10/10 experience. I started telling my friends in Spain about it and they were jealous and now want you to bring it out there too!!

Tour Guide Maddie Lovelace led my tour to the Amalfi Coast and truly was a highlight of my time abroad, she had me laughing the whole time! Not sure of her schedule but if you can get on a tour led by her you have to do it and I think you can still use MLOVE for a discount if you book online :)

Our guides were organized, knowledgeable, and it was so much fun. We also went to the dinners in Florence every Tuesday. Highly recommend traveling with smart trip while you’re studying abroad. Best way to meet people and travel with a group. 10/10

Esperienza negativa: First I’m going to mention that I am never one to complain, but this tour was just unbelievably hectic. My friend and I just travelled from Canada to Europe and we booked the Florence to Amalfi coast tour from June 2-4. As two young Canadian girls, we were extremely excited for this tour. From the second the tour started, everything was extremely chaotic and disappointing. We were told the bus would be a luxury coach bus (we did not expect anything too fancy), however, we had no space to even move our legs on the 8 hour bus ride. When we finally arrived to our villa at 2 A.M, we were then assigned to a room with 6 other girls that we didn’t know (8 of us total in the room), although this was not mentioned anywhere in the itinerary. Our roommates were very nice, but it would’ve been preferable to know we were going to spend 3 nights in a small room with 6 other strangers. We had one washroom in the tiny room. When I decided it was time to go to bed, I lifted up my blankets and about 100 ants were covering my bed. Though I’m not picky about where I sleep, this really grossed me out. My friend and I shared a single top bunk because there were less ants in that bed. We fell asleep at about 5:00 am and got a half an hour of sleep. We had to be up at 6 am as breakfast was at 6:30 before our boat day. In the morning, we told our guide about the ants in our room and she said they would get someone to clean out the room, when we were 5 minutes away from the hostel after our boat day, we heard her on the phone asking them to clean our room. It should have been done sooner. When we got back to the hostel, my bottom bunk and my friends top bunk was still filled with ants. We spent the entire day in the blazing hot sun, with half an hour of sleep. There were multiple people on the boat sleeping and complaining of feeling very ill. We also waited 2 hours at the blue grotto before getting in to see it (it was a cool experience, but waiting 2 hours without our tour guides explaining what was happening or why it was taking so long was not ideal). When we got off the boat for lunch, our guides told us to meet back at the same spot we got off the boat at 3:30. My friend and I waited until 4:30 before the guides finally started bringing us to the ferry to go back to sorrento. Our guides started running and telling us to hustle to catch the ferry, even though we had been waiting for an hour on them to tell us where to go or what was going on. I completely understand that it’s hard to guide this many people around, but this was not structured at all. Everyone was sleep deprived and tired of standing around in the sun. Anyways, we missed our ferry and had to wait about another hour before catching the next one. We told one of our tour guides that we were leaving and showed her the video of the ants in my bed, and she said “Fuck that, that’s disgusting I wouldn’t want to stay here either, but if you change your mind let us know”. We decided to leave this tour after the first day and spend a lot of money on a hotel because we didn’t feel comfortable staying where we were. My friend and I are also students who don’t have a ton of money to spend, especially after spending a month in Europe. So it is unfortunate that we didn’t get our moneys worth. All in all, I’m super upset with this experience. I was so excited to participate in my first group tour and this was overall upsetting, especially because my friend and I saved this tour for the end of our trip because we thought it would be a good way to end our month long europe trip before returning to Canada. I’m willing to speak with someone further about my experience. But I’m truly disappointed.

Esperienza negativa: Nightmare trip. I have a whole 4 page document of all that occurred and how we were mistreated for 4 days. Underfed, over exerted, disrespected, and as a type one diabetic I have never been so ill, so mentally, physically, and emotional exhausted. I will send the document to anyone who asks and will be contacting the team for a full refund. 100 kids, 4 guide (2 did absolutely nothing) on the busiest summer weekend in Italy. I could have planned a better, safer, and less chaotic trip in a heartbeat. Please do your research before booking with them.

You can relate to smart trip staff because most of them just graduated college. The trips are a great way to travel / explore Europe without having to find your own transportation, accommodations, english speaking tour guides etc. Definitely recommend Oktoberfest (Munich). Esperienza negativa: Saturday morning my friends and I had a trip booked to Cinque Terre for 7am. We were running a bit late due to being lost trying to find the bus station that was hidden on the side of S.M.N. train station. It was very very confusing to find this meeting spot. In my opinion we should have met at the entrance of S.M.N. by the taxi line up just so everyone was on the same page of how to get to this confusing destination. I was trying to reach the guide via phone number that was no where to be found in the email given and then he finally called me to ask if I was on may way. I said yes it is very hard to find but I think we are close we are running. We then reached the bus spot but my friends were a few steps behind and he proceeded to get on the bus a drive away before we all made it. After hysterically crying, I tried to call multiple times which led to him pressing the decline button. I then texted him saying, if we meet you in cinque Terre can we hop on the bus back. He responded with, wrong number. When in fact it was his correct number being that he called me on it. I am truly disappointed in this company.

Esperienza fantastica: I had the greatest experience traveling with smart trip. They are super helpful in booking tours, and the execution was perfect. The tour guides were all great people and made traveling safe and fun at the same time. Their amenities were perfect, I never stayed in a bad hostel! I especially recommend booking with them for spring/fall break, the 10-day tour I went on saved me SO MUCH time and energy in planning and was truthfully one of the best experiences of my life. Worth every penny.

When I studied abroad in Florence last year, I traveled every weekend with Smart Trip, and I am SO glad that I did!! I would not have been able to have seen so many places, or have such an amazing experience in general without Smart Trip. The amazing tour guides and staff quickly turned into friends and made my abroad experience that much better. They are extremely helpful, fun and informative and personal from the minute you meet them and even when you see them around the city. I was able to travel to Croatia, Amalfi Coast, Cinque Terre, and Siena, and I honestly cannot tell you which was my favorite because they were all unbelievable. To top it off they by far have the best prices (I’m cheap so I did my research)- and yet you are able to do so much! Esperienza fantastica: I studied in Florence in fall of 2018 and traveled to over 22 cities and 9 countries. I traveled with 3 tour groups, but Smart Trip was BY FAR my favorite. We stayed in clean hostels, my friends and i were roomed together by request, we got an equal amount of history for the countries that we traveled as we did experience of the night life and party scene! our tour guides were worldly, responsible and trustworthy but also so close in age to us and had soooo much fun with us! not to mention smart trips prices are incredible - we would’ve tripled our spending if we traveled alone and other tour groups were noticeably more expensive and offered less than smart trips. the trips were incredible and soooo low stress - i highly, highly recommend this group for study abroad students!

They organize fun trips in a professional manor due to their many connections all over Europe. They are able to set up the entire trip for you, travel, activities, and lodging or food if necessary. This is a young and thriving company and I highly recommend college students to look into their affordable packages ranging from half day trips, to full weekend excursions and even extended trips! College kids are on a budget, and this company helps them plan trips the SMART way.

Esperienza fantastica: My experience with Smart Trip can be best described as a worry-free fun day. We left on the bus early in the morning for a wine tour. The bus ride was comfortable as well as enjoyable because we were able to see the beautiful Tuscan hills on the way. The tour guides are so much fun as well! They are knowledgeable and relatable people who are nothing but helpful. I look forward to traveling with Smart Trip again and I highly recommend it to any student who is looking to meet other study abroad students while having a comfortable and fun time traveling!

Esperienza fantastica: Last summer I lived in Florence and I used Smart Trip to travel on the weekends when I didn't have my internship. Smart Trip had some of the best prices compared to other companies. The staff was very helpful in emailing me back about the meeting location and answered all the questions I had about the trip. My favorite trip was the one to Cinque Terre. It was a day trip. I met tons of cool people on the trip who were all my age. The guides were very helpful even when someone on the trip got sick. The trip to the beach was amazing and had an incredible view. I ended up making friends with the guides and hung out with them even after the trip was over. The staff was outgoing and very friendly to everyone :) Overall, I give Smart Trip five stars!

Esperienza fantastica: I traveled with Smart Trip from Rome to Amalfi Coast and my trip was amazing! I was looking for a way to see more parts of Italy at an affordable price (which I found). Even better, I was traveling alone and was able to meet a large group of people. The hostel we stayed at was absolutely beautiful and over looking the water. The tour guides who accompanied us were extremely friendly, relatable and knowledgable; explaining different places to go, showing places to eat (even having meals with us), and taking us on a night out in town. It was awesome traveling with Smart Trip because I didn't have to worry about the little things such as how I would get places or where the hidden gems were, I was just focusing on having a good time! I would definitely recommend traveling with them, I know I will again in the near future!

Esperienza fantastica: I had only positive experiences while I studied abroad in Florence using Smart Trip tours. I tried tours with some other similar tour companies in the area and none of them had itineraries as packed this, staff that I became great friends with and most importantly they were always the cheapest. When traveling to many places, of course every college student wants to save money therefore this was the perfect option. I went online and compared prices for a specific trip and Smart Trips was always the cheapest and offers many promo code options for deals. I went to Cinque Terre, Croatia, Tuscany and more with their crew and have completely caught the travel bug from this fantastic experience. Esperienza negativa: Extremely unprofessional company. I took a trip with this company where many things went wrong, and every single obstacle was handled poorly. I did not receive the services that I paid for and was told that I would be given if I travelled with them. I would not recommend anyone to use their services.

Esperienza fantastica: Last week, me and my partner went on a Cinque Terre day trip tour with Smarttrips to visit a place (hard to admit) that I still hadn't seen despite eight years in Italy, the lovely 'Cinque Terre' or five lands along the Ligurian coast. It was my first time traveling with Smarttrip and we found our guide Rubina, very informed and clear about the timeline of day, stops etc. She let us know what we were passing by on the bus from Florence to Cinque Terre which was awesome. Even though we had an early start 7am, I was super happy (and surprised) that the bus had wifi, really have never seen that actually work during a tour in Italy. Once we got to Cinque Terre, along with Rubina we had free time in each of the towns that we stopped in -- the famous Manarola, Vernazza, Monterosso and Riomaggiore (we didn't make it to Corniglia because its quite far from the train stop). Every train change went smoothly despite the large crowds that weekend in Cinque Terre. We had a great time exploring these tiny, colorful hamlets and popping into various shops. Rubina recommended a fabulous foccacia (typical bread from the area) from our first stop which we still think about today, thanks Rubina! I was impressed by the tour and thought it was a fabulous value, especially for students, only 40 euros, and 50 with lunch included. We really enjoyed talking to the other tour group members from all over the world as well.
